Board Game Geek: This is THE premier site for board gaming. There are lists of games, forums, blogs, reviews of games, and many, many, more resources for gamers here.

Some particular lists/forums of interest on the site:

  • Exhaustive List of Free Online Games (note -- not all games listed are realtime, and some of the ones listed are outdated, but it's still a  good list)
  • List of board games for PC (Windows): These games cost money, but pretty cool to know about.

Steam: Known primarily as a video/pc game site, Steam also has board games that usually cost under $5, including the following: Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, Hive, Mahjong, Monopoly, Risk, Battleship, Ticket To Ride Switzerland. (NOTE: The game listed as "7 Wonders" on Steam is NOT the board game).

Yahoo Games: In the "Board and Card" section, you can play a lot of classic games like Spades, Canasta, Chess, Chinese Chess, Go, Rummy, Reversi, etc.
